Casting

Now that we have decided on the main ideas for our video, we need to choose our artist. We carried out a casting session to choose between Sam, myself and Leanne and decide who will perform the best and can lip sync in time with the music. We used the song Ella Eyre - We don't have to take our clothes off because we are planning to use the whipped cream remix of this and want to know how well our artist works with the song itself.

 

Due to our song choice, we would like our artist to be female. This meant that although we thought Sam performed well in his lip syncing he didn't fit the character and persona that we wanted to portray. The decision then fell between myself and Leanne, we thought that Leanne was good at performing the song and kept strong eye contact with the camera and for these reasons think that she would be a strong character as our artist. We added colour filters over the video and think that this may be something we incorporate into our final piece to add a fun vibe.
